109. Supporting the statement made by Egypt, the representative of Kenya welcomed the proposal that the period for acceptance of the Protocol be extended until 31 December 2011. His delegation was in the process of accepting the Protocol. Internal procedures had taken some time, but he hoped that the Protocol could be accepted within the extended period for acceptance.
