The representative of Egypt believed that a review as proposed by the European Communities would go beyond the requirements of the Agreement, which contained provisions on notification but not on review. His delegation accepted that notifications were required and questions of implementation could be addressed in the Council, but questioned that there was a requirement to have a systematic review. However, he would consult again with his capital on the matter.
