The Chairperson suggested that the Council ask the Secretariat to look to see what additional information it could provide on national and international systems for the protection of geographical indications relating to products other than wines and spirits, taking into account that, as far as national systems are concerned, information on such systems would be covered in the work that the Secretariat had been asked to undertake in the context of the review under Article 24.2 and that, as regards international systems, the note prepared by the Secretariat which had been circulated as document IP/C/W/85 provided information which was also relevant to product areas other than wines and spirits.
