26. The representative of the Czech Republic said that, regarding the question of eligibility, all geographical indications which were in conformity with the definition provided in Article 22.1 of the TRIPS Agreement were eligible for inclusion. It was also clear that not only Article 22.1 but also exceptions provided for in Article 24 should be respected.
